
The BMW 1 Series is a small family car but still full of luxury, first introduced in 2004 and was the successor to the BMW Compact. In 2004, the 1 Series was only available in a 5-door hatchback. This changed in 2007 when BMW introduced 3 different options, the 3-door hatchback, 2-door Coupe and then Convertible. Both the Coupe and Convertible are now only available in the 2 Series models which was released in 2014.

BMW 1 Series: E87 (2004–2011): five-door hatchback
BMW 1 Series: E81 (2007–2011): three-door hatchback
BMW 1 Series: E82 (2007–2013): two-door coupe
BMW 1 Series: E88 (2007–2014): two-door convertible
BMW 1 Series: F20 (2011–2015): five-door hatchback
BMW 1 Series: F21 (2012–2015): three-door hatchback
Tyres found on the BMW 1 Series will carry the (*) symbol meaning these are BMW approved. Tyre brands which produce the (*) approved tyre are as follows, Michelin, Pirelli, Continental, Hankook and Bridgestone.
